I need to get the contents of my xterm screen from within a program (i.e., have xterm send out a rectangular portion of the screen). I see escape sequences to send "copied" portions of the screen, so it appears that I should be able to mark the screen, copy the screen, and then send it to the requesting app. So far I have not been able to figure out how to do this. Is it possible? Can anyone help?
